Boston

Recently I had the pleasure of being in Boston for the "Transiting Planets" IAU Symposium. This was a surpassingly interesting scientific forum, but also a good opportunity to catch up with a few of my friends.

David with one of his favorite color movies.

David and Kaspar aboard the USS Constitution.

David risked Teresa's wrath and went to the Union Oyster House without her.

Our globe-trotting pal Jaymie Matthews arrived just in time (as usual!)

David, Kaspar and myself get caught up on some science projects.

I hate to say it, but Boston is full of dead people.

"Just like Columbus..."

Jeroen Bouwman and Giovanna Tinetti put in some heroic measures for their latest paper (submitted after a few all-nighters during the conference).

The conference banquet was at the Barking Crab.

Stephan Kane and I enjoyed our lobster.

Dawn, David and I made a complete mess with the grub.

Fun at the Barking Crab.

One of the conference organizers, Dimitar Sasselov, enjoyed his lobster too.
